The Theological Spine

UMattery is not a social enterprise that happens to reference Scripture. It is a direct, structured response to three specific biblical commands that have gone unimplemented at scale for generations.

Hosea 4:6 — Pillar I

The Knowledge Crisis

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."

The American criminal justice system produces recidivism not because people lack good intentions — but because they lack knowledge. UMattery maps all 92 Indiana counties: every parole office, every reentry-friendly landlord, every Second Chance employer, every faith organization. FreedomSure delivers legal knowledge in real time. Dream Teams deliver relational knowledge. The Big Six deliver trade knowledge. Every component solves the knowledge deficit Hosea identified as the root cause of destruction.

Habakkuk 2:2 — Pillar II

The Vision Made Plain

"Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it."

The vision is not to be kept in the prophet's heart. It must be written so clearly that everyone who reads it can immediately become a carrier of it. Every document in the UMattery ecosystem is a tablet. Every Founding 240 member who reads it is a herald authorized to run. The $25/month is not a subscription — it is the herald's commission funding the ability to carry the vision to the next person.

Matthew 25:36 — Pillar III

The Episkeptomai Mandate

"I was in prison and you came to visit me... whatever you did for the least of these, you did for me."

The Greek word episkeptomai means to personally attend with deliberate care — the same root used for a physician making rounds. Jesus said: you came. You showed up. You were physically present. The Dream Team's required visit every 12 weeks is not a program activity — it is the direct fulfillment of Matthew 25:36. Every Guardian who shows up is performing episkeptomai, and by Jesus' own words, they are doing it to Him.

The Core Ethos

"God does His best work in the broken places. Broken Champions is about trading survival tools for building tools — transforming Broken individuals into Champions through extreme accountability, unconditional brotherhood, and a structured restoration pathway."
